Barnsley Bikers Club
Celebrating over 30 years of motorbiking
6th October, 2016
Barnsley Bikers were very pleased to present a cheque for £1322.41to BSARCS for the money raised from this years Show With Go.
BSARCS is a small local charity and is Barnsley's only specialist provider of services to survivors of sexual violence. They have worked tirelessly for over 25 years to support victims, women and men, of sexual abuse and rape. BSARCS representatives also attended the show with their stall helping to further raise awareness of their charity and answer any questions that people had. Further details of the charity can be found by clicking on the BSARCS logo above, or by clicking here.
BSARCS representatives accepting the cheque thanked the club members for the generous donation, adding that this was the biggest single donation they have ever received.
The monies raised will go directly to support their group work for men and women which is something they have been developing over the past 18 months and every single penny will go towards expanding their groups to include families and children.
Every year, Barnsley Bikers Club selects a small local charity to support as part of the Barnsley Motorcycle Festival (also known as the Show With Go). The Show With Go is held at Wombwell Kart Track and gives bikers the opportunity to ride and parade their bikes around a 1/4 mile silky smooth track. For more information on the Show With Go, click here to visit the website, or search for Barnsley Motorcycle Festival on Facebook.
A big thank you also to our show sponsors:
